Tri-C Wi-Fi Hotspot Program

Need internet access? Currently enrolled Tri-C students can borrow a free Wi‑Fi hotspot for the semester.

A Wi‑Fi hotspot provides internet access for laptops, tablets, smartphones and other devices. Connect up to four devices simultaneously.

Submit an application and select your preferred pickup location. Approved students will receive pickup instructions through their Tri‑C email account.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

• Be currently enrolled at Tri-C
• Have a library account in good standing (under $10 in fines or fees and no overdue materials)
• Not currently be borrowing a hotspot through this program

Note: faculty, staff and community patrons are not eligible.

Important Details

• Applications open one week before each semester starts.
• Hotspots are due at the end of the semester and cannot be renewed.
  • Return all equipment (hotspot, charger and carrying case) to any Tri‑C library. 
  • Return yours early if you're not using it. It helps other students!
• A $90 replacement fee applies to lost, damaged or unreturned equipment.
• Service will be disabled for unreturned devices.
• Data speeds may be reduced during network congestion after:
  • 50 GB on T‑Mobile hotspots
  • 23 GB on PCs for People hotspots
