Frequently Asked Questions

Is my information secure?

Your data is encrypted before it is transmitted using secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption technology. However, to guarantee the security of your application data, it is equally important that you protect the confidentiality of your login ID and password. Anyone with access to this information can access your application file.

Why do I need to supply my Social Security Number?

Tri-C is required to collect Social Security Numbers for credit-earning students to comply with federal and state requirements. Once you have been admitted as a student, a Tri-C ID number will be generated. This number begins with the letter "S" followed by eight randomly generated numbers. You will use this ID to register for classes and access your grades and other student information.

Does my data get saved when I move to a different screen?

Yes. If you do not want to save your information, click the "Return to Checklist without saving changes" link on the bottom of the screen.

I changed my mind about my field of study after submitting my application and also gave the wrong telephone number. What should I do?

Do not submit another application. After your application has been processed, contact the Enrollment Center at 216-987-6000 to correct your information. Once you receive your Tri-C ID number, you can also use my Tri-C space to view and update your information.

Can I print my completed application?

There is no function available to format the information and print it in one document. You may be able to print each screen by using the browser's print command.

How soon after applying can I register for classes?

Allow 3-5 business days for your application to be processed. An email will be sent to you notifying you of your Tri-C ID number and your Tri-C email address.  You will also be sent an official letter of acceptance along with enrollment information.

Who do I contact if I have questions about the application or have a problem completing it?

Contact the Enrollment Center on your campus.

How will I know the status of my application?

Allow 3-5 business days for your application to be processed. An email will be sent to you notifying you of your Tri-C ID number and your Tri-C email address.  You will also be sent an official letter of acceptance along with enrollment information.
