Men's Group

Mission Statement
To improve males’ understanding of and interactions with their female counterparts in order to increase positive and respectful outcomes.
About the Men’s Group
The Men's Group subcommittee leads and engages men at the College regarding methods for advancing women in equity and inclusion. This includes changing behaviors as well as learning about and understanding issues that hold women back in society and in the workplace (e.g., toxic masculinity, safety, domestic violence).
Additionally, the Men's Group works to address communication issues among faculty, staff and students (e.g., female students not being called upon in class, understanding gender identity and pronouns). The group also identifies and engages key male staff and faculty to serve as mentors.
