Institutional Review Board (IRB)
What is the IRB?
The IRB is a small committee made up of faculty, staff and one community member. It is responsible for ensuring that scholarly research conducted at Tri-C involving human subjects is carried out in a way that does not harm anyone who participates physically, mentally or socially.
It ensures that research conducted at the College is carried out to advance knowledge in a way that is consistent with the College's mission and vision.
To carry out this role, the IRB reviews all proposals involving research using human subjects.
Prior to submitting an application for IRB review, please first consult the IRB Guidelines.
