The Power of Us: Launching a Legacy of Impact is a landmark all-employee convening event designed to bring every member of our organization together in a spirit of unity, purpose and shared vision. This convening is a celebration of our collective strengths and a launchpad for the initiatives that will define our future. Throughout this interactive day, employees will have the opportunity to connect, collaborate and contribute to the legacy we are building together.

The College will be closed on this day to allow everyone to participate. Employees do not need to report to work after the event.
All employees — across all departments and locations — are enthusiastically invited to participate. Whether you work in person, remotely or in a hybrid capacity, your presence is valued. This is a Collegewide convening, and every voice matters.
Scheduled presentations include:
- Vision 2030 update and welcome address from Dr. Baston.
- Fireside chat on "The Urgency of Now" with Graham Veysey, executive director and executive producer of the Aspen Ideas Festival for the Aspen Institute.
- Employee awards, including the Professional Excellence Award, the President's Award and the Robert and Joanne Lewis Award.
- A look back at the remarkable career of retiring Tri-C Police Chief Clayton Harris.
About Graham Veysey:
Graham Veysey has spent the last 15 years devoted to sustainably transforming neighborhoods. He led the development of Hingetown, an enclave in Cleveland, through creative placemaking while championing responsible redevelopment and community building in his hometown.
Graham is also the Executive Director and Executive Producer of the Aspen Ideas Festival. He has been involved with the Festival for over 20 years.
Graham is Principal of North Water Productions, an Emmy-award winning media and events firm. Through this work, Graham has led the strategy and execution of large-scale summits like the Vanity Fair New Establishment Summit, Bloomberg CityLab, and Vogue Forces of Fashion.
Graham co-founded the first exclusive canned wine company, Graham+Fisk's Wine-In-A-Can with his childhood friend Fisk Biggar. The wine has won accolades from Wine Enthusiast Magazine and is distributed in over 40 U.S. states and exported to the Caribbean and Japan.
Graham was previously Project Director for the Ohio City Farm, a six-acre urban farm, which he spearheaded with The Refugee Response, a nonprofit working with refugee communities on sustainable agriculture.
Graham has a bachelors in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Bates College. He is a Presidential Leadership Scholar and a board member of the Cleveland Foundation.
