Office of Institutional Research

The Office of Institutional Research (IR) at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) supports Collegewide, data-informed decision-making through the collection, interpretation and presentation of accurate and impactful data.

What We Do

IR engages in a wide range of research partnerships, offering insights, reports and dashboards that can be leveraged to answer your data-related questions. We support both large- and small-scale initiatives and are here to talk through any data support you may need. Some examples of areas we provide support in include:

  • Academic and Student Affairs (graduation rates, transfer data, employment outcomes, application and registration information, completion statistics, etc.)
  • Strategic planning
  • Enrollment projections
  • Program evaluation and outcome measurement
  • State, federal and other reporting, such as IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) and SSI (State Share of Instruction) subsidy calculations
  • Survey creation and dissemination
  • Administration of national or regional surveys (CCSSE, Noel Levitz, etc.)
  • Student and faculty reports and lists
  • Self-service, on-demand Argos datablock creation for Tri-C users
  • Operational processes and data error assessment/prevention

Partner with IR

If you are ready to submit a data request to IR, please reach out using the contact information below. Try to have as much of the following information on hand as possible:

  • Nature of the project and completion deadline (is this a recurring need?)
  • Purpose of data (how will the collected data be used?)
  • Desired fields of inquiry (e.g., student name)
  • Specification of terms (e.g., time period)
  • Other necessary qualifications (e.g., student-level or aggregated data?)
