Thank you for your interest in the Aspire (formerly ABLE) program at Cuyahoga Community College. We help students strengthen their academic skills, build confidence so that they can achieve their education and career goals. Our classes are offered on campus (Eastern, Metro and Western) and also at other locations within Cuyahoga County. The program is for adults, sixteen and older who have skills below college level. Our free classes are offered at different times during the week all over Cuyahoga County.
If you are 16 or 17 years old, please review age requirements for the Official GED® test on the Ohio Department of Education website.
We are part of the University System of Ohio and are funded by Federal and State grants through the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
In order to start classes, you MUST complete orientation. During day 1 of orientation you will learn about the program, complete paperwork and take a test. Day 1 takes approximately 4 hours.
You must complete all days of orientation before you are considered a student in the Aspire Program.
Orientations are held during the school year at various locations. New orientation dates are posted on the 15th and 30th of each month. If the 15th or 30th fall on a weekend, orientations will be posted the following Monday.
Orientation seats are not guaranteed if you do not register.

Day 1 of orientation takes approximately 4 hours. Please plan to be there the entire time.
New orientations are posted on the 15th and 30th of each month. If the 15th or 30th fall on a weekend, orientations will be posted on the following Monday. If the 15th and 30th fall on a holiday, orientations will be posted the following workday.
