Want to learn more about the program? Join one of our weekly information sessions held via WebEx every Wednesday at noon.

Orientations are held in various locations around Cuyahoga County. View possible orientation locations.

If you do not see any available orientation dates, please call your local office for more information.

We do not offer virtual orientations at this time.

Orientation dates and times are listed above. We have orientations for various work schedules. Please arrive 15 minutes early and plan to attend for up to three-and-a-half hours.

Orientation lasts about three hours, and you will need to stay until you have completed your testing. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early and stay at the orientation for the entire three hours.

Orientation is your first exposure to our program. We will provide a brief introduction to the Ohio Options for Adults program and our offerings. You will fill out a registration form and take a Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).

This isn't the kind of test you can study for, and you should not worry about taking it. This test just helps us determine your skill level, so we know what kind of classwork to give you on your first day. The test may take up to three hours, but some people finish earlier. For the best results, you should not rush.

Following the orientation and completion of the TABE, you will be given a list of possible class assignments.

You just need to know your current address, phone number and Social Security number to include on the registration form.

We have ongoing classes. You may be able to start going to class soon after you finish the orientation, or you may need to wait for a week until classes begin.

You can still sign up with Ohio Options for Adults if you already have a diploma. Maybe you need to work on your math skills for a job or want to read better for your grandkids. We can help you! Orientation is the same for everyone, no matter why you're signing up with us.

Reach out to our staff to determine your status in our program. If you have been out of our program for longer than 90 days, you will need to retake the orientation.

Tri-C Ohio Options for Adults does not provide child care at our orientations. You will need to organize child care to attend our orientation. Learn about Cuyahoga County's Child Care Assistance Program.

Thank you for visiting our page!

Thank you for your interest in the Ohio Options for Adults program at Tri-C. We help students strengthen their academic skills and build confidence to achieve their educational and career goals. Our classes are offered at the Eastern, Metro and Western campuses and other locations throughout Cuyahoga County. Learn more about the Adult Diploma Program.

We are part of the University System of Ohio and are funded by federal and state grants through the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
