The now-24-year-old, who graduates this month from Tri-C with an Associate of Applied Science in criminal justice, wanted to succeed. She wanted a college education, to find a purpose in life. But personal and family-related issues always seemed to get in the way.
Shaoib Khan began working for his family’s business after graduating high school. But as he approached his 30s, the Cleveland resident wondered if managing a local gas station franchise was the life he wanted. After much handwringing, he decided he needed to make a change and enrolled at Tri-C to study information technology.
