Writing Center

If you need to schedule an online Writing Center appointment and a particular campus's Writing Center is not open or already booked, try one of Tri-C's other campus Writing Centers.

Our writing consultants will meet with students at any stage of the writing process to offer feedback on a paper or writing project in any discipline.

  • To schedule a virtual (Webex) appointment, visit our scheduling portal and select "Find Services.” (For assistance, view our “how to schedule an online appointment” video.)
  • For written feedback, send us an email at eastwritingcenter@tri-c.edu and include your assignment sheet and your rough draft (as a Microsoft Word or Google document).

HOW TO CONTACT US:

  • To schedule a virtual appointment, visit our scheduling portal and select "Find Services." We are in the process of rolling out virtual appointments. Some morning or early afternoon hours may not be available.
  • For written feedback, email us at wcwc@tri-c.edu. Include your S-number, assignment sheet, course number, instructor name and any questions or concerns. Let us know whether you'd like your instructor to be informed of your use of the Writing Center.
  • For help by phone, call us at 216-987-5305 during open hours.  You can email your paper to wcwc@tri-c.edu and then work with an consultant over the phone. You can also call us for quick grammar or other writing advice. 

We have a consultant on call for e-mailed consultations on weekends. You can expect a 24-hour turnaround time.

We are located in SLT 210 on the second floor of the Liberal Arts building, co-housed with English tutoring and offering both in-person and virtual consultations.  In addition to writing help, we also provide assistance with reading articles and assignments for class including but not limited to academic journal articles, textbook chapters, literature, and other written texts.
