Metro Campus to Host Fresh Check Day
Event on April 11 aims to bring together community to check college students’ mental health
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) Metropolitan Campus leaders want to check in with students and highlight the importance of mental health.
The Black American Council at Tri-C is hosting Fresh Check Day to bring the campus community together to “check in" on the mental health and wellness of college students.
The free event will be April 11 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Alex B. Johnson Campus Center food court.
Fresh Check Day was created by the Jordan Porco Foundation to raise mental health awareness by creating an atmosphere where students feel comfortable discussing mental health. The event also aims to build a bridge between students and the mental health resources available on campus, in the community and nationally.
Fresh Check Day will include food, prizes and giveaways. Booths will feature peer-to-peer messaging in a positive, community-focused setting.
