Honors Grounded in the Humanities

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Humanities Center is Tri-C's home for honors opportunities. Through the humanities, leadership development and civic engagement, the Mandel Center brings together nine distinct programs, generous scholarships and experiences beyond the classroom. Students join a close community, learn across Greater Cleveland and leave prepared for whatever comes next. Any student with a 3.0 GPA, ready for college-level English and math, has a place here.

Mandel Scholars AcademyThe Mandel Scholars Academy is Tri-C's most immersive honors experience, offering full scholarships, required humanities coursework and a close-knit cohort community.

Earn up to $2,989 per semester for up to four semesters.

The Mandel Humanities Center supports transfer to four-year institutions through dedicated partnerships with area schools:

Cleveland Humanities CollaborativeThe Cleveland Humanities Collaborative is a transfer partnership with Case Western Reserve University for students ready to continue their humanities education at the four-year level.

Continuing Scholars ProgramThe Continuing Scholars Program connects Tri-C's high-achieving students to Cleveland State University's Mandel Honors College through a scholarship-supported transfer pathway.
