Official GED Testing

Coming in 2014! The current 2002 series is scheduled to end on Dec. 31, 2013. If you have not passed one or more parts of the 2002 series, you have until Dec. 31, 2013, to pass. You may only take the test up to three times during a calendar year. Beginning Jan. 1, 2014, you will need to take the entire test to receive your GED®. Prior scores will not be counted. The cost of the 2014 series will increase and that cost has not yet been determined. (www.ode.edu)

Registration and Payment for the Official GED Test must be completed at least two weeks before the Test date

Passing The General Education Development (GED) test will allow you to exhibit skills and knowledge that are comparable to a high school degree. The Official GED Test is made up of five subjects: Reading, Math, Social Studies, Science and Language Arts

New Option: Computerized GED TEST

If you have never taken the Official GED Test before:

1.) Create a SAFE Account online

2.) Fill out GED testing Application
3.) Make a payment with your Visa or MasterCard
4.) Wait 24 hours for payment to process
5.) Log in to your SAFE ACCOUNT
6.) Schedule your Official GED TEST

If you have taken the Official Test before and you need to re-take 1-3 tests:

1.) Log in to your SAFE ACCOUNT
2.) Enter a New Application
3.) Pick the Subject(s) that you need to retake
4.) Make a payment with your Visa or MasterCard
5.) Wait 24 Hours for your payment to process
6.) Call 216-987-3201 to schedule a re-test date and time

After you have taken your Official GED Test, expect to wait up to 6-8 weeks to receive your results.
