What We Hold - An Observation of Contemporary Still Life
What We Hold - An Observation of Contemporary Still Life highlights the various forms that still life can take across differing perspectives and mediums. From the small traces of life that grace the things we interact with day to day, to objects that become uncanny or completely animated in their rendering, this exhibition will examine the historical genre of still life through a contemporary lens. How do objects make us consider our bodies in space? How might objects and objective art challenge traditional boundaries and hierarchies in relation to individual and collective identities? How connected do we become to what we hold?
When: July 18 – August 14, 2025
