Please join Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) in honoring the life of Daphne Darleen Johnson, who died on March 3, 2018. The wife of Tri-C President Alex Johnson, Mrs. Johnson attended Winston-Salem State University and completed a degree from Tri-C. She discovered her true calling in high school, when she learned to sew to create both practical clothing items and artwork. This experience served as a foundation for a life committed to creating works in embroidery, porcelain and fabrics. In addition, Mrs. Johnson loved cats and rescue dogs, and she was surrounded by dozens of animals throughout her life. Above all, she loved dearly and unconditionally her close friends and family, whom she leaves behind to celebrate her life and achievements. Tri-C and the Tri-C Foundation are honoring Mrs. Johnson’s love of animals through an endowed scholarship fund supporting students in the College’s Veterinary Technology program.
