About Agile
Agile Project Management (APM) is an iterative approach to planning and guiding project processes. Agile projects are completed in small sections called iterations, and each iteration is reviewed and critiqued by the project team. Insights gained from the critique of an iteration are then used to determine next steps. The main benefit of APM is its ability to respond to issues as they arise. Making a necessary change to a project at the right time can save resources and, ultimately, help deliver a successful project on time and within budget.
About Scrum
Scrum is an agile methodology designed to guide teams in the iterative process and enhance incremental delivery of a product. Often referred to as an APM “framework,” Scrum focuses on the use of an empirical process that allows teams to respond rapidly, efficiently and effectively to change. Traditional project management methods fix requirements in an effort to control time and cost, while Scrum fixes time and cost in an effort to control requirements. Scrum relies heavily on collaboration between the team and the customer or customer representative to create the right product at the right time in a lean fashion.
