Tri-C/Cuyahoga County Workforce Development Alliance
The Workforce Development Alliance offers scholarships to income-eligible residents for enrollment in fast-track training programs at Tri-C. The initiative also includes job-placement assistance for graduates.
Tri-C will serve 200 students during the project’s pilot phase, which targets training programs for careers as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), Patient Access Specialist or truck driver. Additional training programs may be included in 2018.
The alliance between the County and College expands access to Tri-C’s award-winning workforce programs and opens doors to jobs with sustainable wages, strengthening families and the community.
The County will recruit and refer TANF/SNAP-eligible individuals, conduct an initial screening and work in collaboration with Tri-C’s Job Link Services to enroll individuals into training.
