Spanish
Flor Misra
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and became a high school English teacher. In 1980, I left Venezuela to study at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where I earned a master’s degree in educational technology. I completed the Spanish K-12 certification program at Cleveland State University in 1998 and began working at Euclid High School, where I taught for 19 years. After retiring in 2017, I became a Spanish lecturer at John Carroll University and joined
Tri-C as a Spanish tutor. I’m fascinated by the relationship between language and culture. I’ve traveled around the world and have studied other languages such as Italian, French, Greek and Latin.
