ESL
Sue Bartch
I've taught ESL since 2002, including all three courses at all levels. My specialty is ESL grammar. I have access to all grammar books and some Reading/Writing books. I typically review these materials with students via phone or email, but I can also use Webex if that’s what you prefer. I hold a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and a master’s in TESOL.

Schedule a tutoring session with me to discuss passive voice, adjective clauses, Oxford commas and more.
Corina Fleaca
I've taught ESL for nearly a decade. Helping students learn English is very rewarding for me. I have a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s in curriculum and instruction with a TESOL endorsement. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my four-legged “kids.” I also like to travel and try new foods from different countries.
Carole Hausrod-Hodkey
I've taught ESL at Tri-C for nearly a decade. Before that, I taught English for 38 years in Bay Village and Cleveland. I have a master's degree in TESOL from the University of Findlay. I like to take art and music classes in my spare time.
Jennie Kaffen
Having taught all ESL levels at the Metro Campus for more than 15 years, I’m able to help students in any and all ESL courses, as well as former ESL students taking ENG-1010 or 1020. I specialize in helping students sort out advanced grammar and working with them to strengthen their essays.
Gloria Muntean
I’m a retired high school French teacher whose love of language led to a second career teaching ESOL for Tri-C’s Aspire program. I’m also probably the only person you'll ever meet who can play the accordion. (It's a secret, though, so don't tell anyone!)
Rosanna Salonia
I’ve been teaching ESL to students of all ages since 1999. Prior to joining Tri-C, I taught at the ESL language centers at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University. I also taught at a private language school in Italy. I can empathize with my students because I understand what it’s like to be a stranger in a foreign country. I love my job because I meet people from all corners of the globe. Not only do I have the privilege of teaching them my native language, but I also get to learn about their languages, cultures, traditions and personal journeys.
