Remote Placement Testing
Tri-C students who live outside of Northeast Ohio may complete their math and English placement tests at an approved remote testing location in their local area. Remote placement testing locations are typically nearby college or university testing centers. Most college or university testing centers charge a proctoring fee for students who do not attend their institution. All testing fees are the responsibility of the student and should be discussed with the remote testing location prior to scheduling an appointment.
The ESL, Biology, and Chemistry placement tests may not be completed remotely.
How Do I Schedule a Remote Placement Test?
Contact your preferred Tri-C campus Testing Center to discuss arranging a remote placement test. A Testing Center representative will work with you to identify an approved testing location in your local area where you can complete your placement tests. Once a testing location has been approved, you must contact the approved testing location to make the necessary arrangements based on the center’s policies for proctored testing. Many locations require appointments for proctored testing.
What Happens After I Take My Tests?
Your placement test scores will be updated in your student record by the following day. Your next steps depend on your admission status. You may contact your preferred campus Testing Center to review your placement results.
