Nuclear Medicine Simulation Lab
In addition to a state-of-the-art classroom, Tri-C's Nuclear Medicine program offers the use of educational equipment that is identical to those used in the hospital, including:
- Dose calibrator
- Well counter
- Nuclear medicine computer
- Virtual IV Simulator
The Nuclear Medicine Program also offers a room that holds an EKG machine and treadmill. This allows students to use cameras and computers, similar to ones used in a hospital, to simulate how to acquire nuclear medicine procedures and processes. A workspace is also dedicated to practicing the drawing and measuring of doses administered and radiation safety practices
Along side equipment used, the Nuclear Medicine had incorporated Standardized Patients into the curriculum. These hired actors give a personality and scenario for students to interact with enhancing experience with different types of patients.
