Tri-C Women’s Basketball Team Advances in Tournament
Challengers top Clark State Community College in first home tournament game

The women’s basketball team at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) made the most of its first home NJCAA tournament game, beating Clark State Community College 83-56 on Tuesday night at Eastern Campus.
Freshman forward Darian Carter led the Challengers with 22 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore center Keri Hill added 19 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots to keep the team’s season alive.
Tri-C (17-11) has won more games this year than the previous three seasons combined.
The victory advances the Challengers to the semifinals of the NJCAA’s Region XII (District 1) women’s basketball bracket. Tri-C will play Cincinnati State Technical and Community College (21-9) at 3 p.m. Friday, March 4, at Ohio Christian University in Circleville.
The winner of Friday’s semifinal plays the following day for the regional championship and an invitation to the national tournament.
