Tri-C Women in Transition Program Begins New Session
Free program enters 37th year of strengthening skills and building confidence in women
The Women in Transition program at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) is launching a new session of classes that use education and training to empower women.
The program begins the week of Jan. 12 at three locations: Eastern Campus in Highland Hills, Metropolitan Campus in Cleveland and Western Campus in Parma. The eight-week, non-credit program is free and open to the public.
Participants build confidence and self-esteem through classes on personal development, career exploration and financial and computer literacy. The course is designed to assist women in transitional periods of their lives, such as a career change or return to the workforce.
Registration is required for the Women in Transition program, which offers day and evening class options. The schedule is as follows, by location:
Eastern Campus, 4250 Richmond Road, Highland Hills
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays – Jan. 12 to March 4
• 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays – Jan. 13 to March 5
Metro Campus, 2900 Community College Ave., Cleveland
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays – Jan. 13 to March 5
Western Campus, 11000 Pleasant Valley Road, Parma
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – Jan. 12 to March 6

Tri-C’s Women in Transition program began in 1978 and has contributed to thousands of personal success stories in more than three decades of operation. The program typically serves about 200 women a year.
