Payton Ciolek named OCCAC Player of the Week
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) volleyball player Payton Ciolek earned Player of the Week honors from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference for her performance Oct. 10-16.
Ciolek totaled 34 kills while leading the Challengers to two wins in three conference matches. The setter and right-side hitter also contributed 71 assists, 22 digs and four blocks, as well as 10 aces while serving.
She is the second Tri-C volleyball player this season to win an OCCAC Player of the Week award. Holly Hoffman earned the honor in September.
Ciolek, a freshman from Cuyahoga Heights, is studying early childhood education at the College.
The Challengers are 16-10 on the season and 5-5 in conference play, which puts them fourth in the standings. The team plays its home games at Tri-C’s Eastern Campus in Highland Hills. For a full team schedule, visit www.tri-c.edu/athletics.
