Tri-C Softball Players Sweep Weekly OCCAC Awards
Racquel Ward and Beth Wills honored after leading team to six victories

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) softball players Racquel Ward and Beth Wills earned Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week honors from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference for their performances April 3-9.
Both played key roles in leading Tri-C to six victories during the week, including doubleheader sweeps of conference rivals Lakeland Community College and Sinclair Community College.
Ward won four games during the week, logging 23.2 innings over three starts and one relief appearance. She struck out 26 batters while allowing only six earned runs. The sophomore from Ashland leads the conference with an 11-2 record and 1.34 ERA.
Wills batted .650 over the six games, with five doubles and a triple among her 13 hits. She also scored 13 runs and added 12 RBI. The freshman from Huber Heights, Ohio, is batting .463 on the season.
Ward is in the College’s pre-nursing program while Wills is majoring in human services.
