Tri-C Soccer Player Earns All-American Honors
Rushoy Brown recognized as one of nation’s top players
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) soccer player Rushoy Brown has been named a 2017 NJCAA Division I All-American, adding to his list of honors following a stellar season.
The sophomore scored five goals and tallied two assists while playing defender for the Challengers. He was named a third-team All-American while being the lone honoree from an Ohio school.
Brown will graduate this month with an Associate of Applied Science degree in criminal justice. His academic success followed his participation in the College’s Degree in Three program, which offers an array of support services to guide students toward graduation.
He intends to transfer to Cleveland State University in the spring to continue his studies. Brown grew up in Jamaica and now lives in Parma.
Brown also earned NJCAA Region XII honors this season while leading the Challengers to a record of 12-8 and the semifinals of the regional tournament.
