Tri-C Scheduled for Regular Accreditation Review
Higher Learning Commission seeks public comments on quality of College programs
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) is seeking public comments about the College as part of the institution’s regular reaffirmation of accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission.
The Commission conducts comprehensive evaluations of member institutions to confirm that they continue to meet the Criteria for Accreditation, are pursuing institutional improvement and comply with requirements set by the U.S. Department of Education.
Teams of peer reviewers conduct the evaluations. A team from the Commission will conduct a site visit at Tri-C on Feb. 19-20 as part of the review.
As part of the process, the Commission invites the public to submit comments regarding the College. Comments should address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs.

The College has been accredited as a single entity by the Commission since 1979. Prior to that, the Commission accredited Tri-C by individual campus.
The Higher Learning Commission is an independent agency founded in 1895 as one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States. It accredits degree-granting postsecondary educational institutions in 19 states.
