Tri-C Campus Police Scheduled for Accreditation Visit
July 14 public hearing is part of review process by law enforcement commission
Campus Police and Security Services at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) is scheduled for an on-site assessment to be reaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).
A national team of CALEA assessors will arrive at Tri-C on Monday, July 13, to examine department policies, procedures, management operations and support services. A report will be submitted to the commission once the review is completed.
A public hearing for accreditation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, in the Ford Room of the Jerry Sue Thornton Center, 2500 E. 22nd St. in Cleveland. Anyone from the College or community is invited to attend.
Community members also can comment during a public call-in session from 2-4 p.m. Monday, July 13. To participate, call 216-987-3680. Comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA standards.
