Tri-C Basketball Player Named OCCAC Player of the Week
Kash Blackwell honored after leading Challengers to pair of victories
CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) basketball player Kash Blackwell earned Player of the Week honors from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference for his performance Jan. 25-31.
Blackwell averaged 24 points during the week while leading the Challengers to a pair of conference wins. The sophomore guard also contributed 7.5 rebounds, 3 assists and two steals per game.
On the season, he leads the OCCAC in scoring and ranks eighth in rebounding.
Blackwell, a graduate of Shaker Heights High School, is pursuing an Associate of Arts at Tri-C.
The Challengers are 14-10 on the season and 5-4 in conference play. The team plays three home games in February at Tri-C’s Metropolitan Campus gymnasium, located at the corner of East 30th Street and Community College Avenue in Cleveland.
