Top of Their Class: Tri-C Student-Athletes Receive Conference Academic Honors

Thirty-four Challengers honored by the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference

Ohio Community College Athletic ConferenceNearly three dozen student-athletes at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) earned All-Academic recognition from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference for their classroom success during spring semester.

Tri-C led all conference schools in honorees. To gain All-Academic status, students needed at least a 3.3 GPA while completing 12 or more credit hours during the semester.

The following Tri-C students, listed by team, were recognized:

Baseball: Dylan Brister of Grafton; Jeremy Chambers of Marysville; Mitch Cromley of Bowling Green; Zach Desa of London, Ontario; Garrett Roberts of Utica; Nick Rozzo of Moon Township, Pennsylvania.; Bernee Sanchez of Columbus; Danny Shaw of North Royalton; and Hunter Tome of New Albany

Women’s Track: Naleta Adams of Shaker Heights; Taylor Badamo of North Royalton; Caroline Lapish of Madison; Amber Ruiz-Bueno of Willowick; Sonnie Sauvinsky of Rootstown; and Shelbie Sporcich of Ashtabula

Men’s Basketball: Bruce Hodges of Lima and Daniel Lott of Brooklyn

Soccer: Kevaughn Blake of Jamaica; Rushoy Brown of Jamaica; Hsa Gay of Akron; Terrance Edwards of North Ridgeville; Johansson Mathe of South Africa; and Sean Morgan of Jamaica

Softball: Kaitlyn Boykin of Painesville; Nicole Ferrara of Independence; Madison Smith of Napoleon; Serena Tucciarelli of Garfield Heights; and Jamie Wilson of Willoughby
