Cuyahoga Community College Foundation Announces New Leadership Team
Trina Evans of KeyCorp appointed as Foundation chairperson
The Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) Foundation announced its 2017-2018 leadership team during its annual meeting.
Trina Evans, executive vice president and director of Corporate Center for KeyCorp, was appointed chairperson. She has been a Foundation director since 2014.
“The Cuyahoga Community College Foundation helps bring dreams to life for thousands of community members every year by securing funding for scholarships and programs,” Evans said. “This support helps Tri-C students complete their studies and find a better future. I look forward to working with the Foundation leadership team to add to the long list of success stories.”
Evans succeeds Rick Chiricosta, who led the Foundation the past three years. Chiricosta will continue to serve on the Foundation’s Executive Committee
Other Foundation board officer appointments include:
• Vice chairpersons: James B. Aronoff, partner, Thompson Hine LLP; Louis G. Joseph, president and CEO, The Brewer-Garrett Company; Bernie Moreno, president, Bernie Moreno Companies; and John Skory, president, The Illuminating Company.
• Secretary: Katherine T. O’Neill, community leader
• Treasurer: Gregory J. Skoda, chairman, Skoda Minotti
• Vice president, development and Foundation: Megan O’Bryan
In addition, the Foundation welcomed three new directors to its board: Shelly Cayette, vice president of partnership marketing and strategy, Cleveland Cavaliers; Aaron Grossman, CEO, Alliance Solutions Group; and Scott Orr, vice president, Gilbane Building Co.
“This exemplary group shares a passion for empowering student success at Cuyahoga Community College,” Tri-C President Alex Johnson said. “Their service to the Foundation reflects a steadfast commitment to higher education as a driving force to better our community. We are honored to have their talents.”
The Cuyahoga Community College Foundation, chartered in 1973, is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The mission of the Foundation is to secure funding for scholarships and educational program development and enhancement at Tri-C.
