Westshore Expansion Pushes Campus Enrollment to Nearly 2,200
Campus addition is past the halfway point of its first year
Even before Cuyahoga Community College’s Westshore Campus opened in 2011, plans were already in motion to expand its size.
Those plans were realized in September, when the Westshore Liberal Arts and Technology building opened its doors after nearly two years of construction. The new building added more than 90,000 square feet to the campus, including 30 classrooms and labs and numerous student support services.
The Westshore Campus is the fourth, and newest, Tri-C campus. It’s located on Clemens Road in Westlake.
The expansion brings all Westshore offerings to one location. Previously, a portion of the campus’ courses and services were housed at Corporate College West, about five miles away.
Cleveland.com recently highlighted the success of the Westshore Campus expansion, which has propelled enrollment to record numbers. Several weeks into the spring semester, the campus has a student population of nearly 2,200.
