Unhittable: Tri-C’s Max Carevic Silences Bats
Right-hander continued award-winning pitching dominance for Challengers
After claiming four consecutive Pitcher of the Week Awards from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference, who knew the best was yet to come for Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®)?
Max Carevic no-hit the opposition for six innings over two games to win the weekly conference pitching honor for games played April 30-May 6. He struck out two batters during a start and relief appearance.
The right-hander improved his record to 2-0 while becoming the fourth Tri-C pitcher honored by the OCCAC.
The freshman from Wellington is working toward an Associate of Arts degree at the College.
The Challengers are 37-9-1 on the season and ranked 18th in the nation in the latest NJCAA Division II poll. Postseason play for the team begins this week.
