Tri-C’s William Gary Reappointed to Workforce Development Board
New three-year term underway on Cleveland/Cuyahoga County advisory panel
The executive vice president of the Workforce, Community and Economic Development division of Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) has been reappointed to The Cleveland/Cuyahoga County Workforce Development Board.
William Gary’s new three-year term will extend through June 30, 2023. The board advises the County’s Department of Workforce Development, which offers programs and services to help residents secure employment and financial independence.
County Executive Armond Budish nominated Gary, who was then confirmed by County Council.
Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson informed Gary of his reappointment in a July 28 letter thanking him for his service.
“Your job is one of extreme importance and your efforts invaluable as a prepared and skilled workforce will contribute to the economic vitality and racial equality of our entire community,” the mayor wrote.
Gary has overseen Tri-C’s workforce division since 2014. During his tenure, he has restructured and expanded programs to meet the region’s workforce demands and create clearer pathways to high-demand jobs for residents.
