Tri-C’s Pitching Dominance Continues With Latest OCCAC Award
Brock Begue wins Challengers' fourth consecutive OCCAC Pitcher of the Week award
Another week of winning meant another week of awards for the pitching staff on the Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) baseball team.
Brock Begue earned his second Pitcher of the Week Award of the season from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference after throwing seven scoreless innings against Lakeland Community College on April 27.
The left-hander struck out nine while surrendering only four hits in Tri-C’s 6-1 victory.
Begue improved his record to 9-1 on the season with a 2.25 ERA. He ranks among the national leaders in most pitching categories.
The freshman from North Canton has not declared a major at the College.
This is the fourth consecutive OCCAC Pitcher of the Week award for the Challengers, who have won 15 games in a row while gaining votes in the national polls. Tri-C’s record now stands at 34-8-1.
The team plays its final four games of the regular season this weekend at Mercyhurst North East.
