Tri-C’s Nuts and Bolts Academy: A Summer Camp ‘Hidden Gem’
Cleveland Magazine highlights unique program in its February edition
Remember summer camp popsicle-stick projects? Well, let’s just say creative craft time has evolved a bit with the Nuts and Bolts Academy offered through Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®).
Summer camp programs offered through the academy allow youth to use state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment to design and create objects born in their imagination. Projects have included cornhole boards, vases and even guitars.
A story in the February edition of Cleveland Magazine highlighted the academy as a “hidden gem” on the Northeast Ohio summer camp circuit.
Academy camps take place at the Ideation Station, a designated fab lab located within Tri-C’s Manufacturing Technology Center. Costs and dates vary. Click here for a full list of Nuts and Bolts Academy offerings this summer.
The academy represents just one part of the College’s summer camp catalog. Other programs focus on creative arts such as dancing and singing; culinary lessons; computer game design; public safety career exploration; and more.
