Cuyahoga Community College recently honored Terry Pfleiderer of RPM International in Medina with a Community Champion Award for his support of the College’s Information Technology programs.

Pfleiderer, manager of enterprise applications at RPM, has played a key role in developing IT curriculum at Tri-C while also providing professional training opportunities for students for more than a decade.

Through his leadership, RPM sponsored a paid co-op as part of the College’s e-Business program. The company’s grant supports at least six co-op positions per year.

“Terry’s stewardship of the e-Business program and support of our students’ career aspirations has made and continues to make a difference in countless lives,” wrote Kathleen Tamerlano, an associate IT professor, in her nomination letter.

Pfleiderer was also commended by Tamerlano for his “tireless energy and passion” for Tri-C programs. “Terry has always stepped up to serve our institution and students,” Tamerlano wrote.

The Community Champion Award was presented to Pfleiderer earlier this month during the College’s Appreciation Breakfast, held at Corporate College East in Warrensville Heights.
