Queen of the Hill: Tri-C’s Allison Stack Named ‘Pitcher of the Week’ by OCCAC
Sophomore claims conference award after back-to-back wins
Two days. Two games started. Two victories for the Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) softball team.
That pretty much sums up Friday and Saturday for Allison Stack last week.
Stack earned Pitcher of the Week honors from the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference for her performance March 26-April 1 after helping the Challengers to a pair of victories.
She pitched 12 innings over the two games, surrendering only two earned runs while striking out four as Tri-C topped Patrick Henry Community College and Surry Community College on back-to-back days.
Stack leads Tri-C and ranks among the conference leaders in most pitching categories so far this season.
The sophomore from Medina is studying to be a veterinary technician.
The Challengers are now 12-4 and riding a five-game winning streak. The team plays its home games at Tri-C’s Western Campus in Parma. Visit the team's website for a schedule.
