Panel Explores Civility and Discourse on College Campuses
Tri-C President Alex Johnson will join the conversation Feb. 26 at Corporate College East
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) President Alex Johnson will be part of a discussion on civility and discourse on college campuses Feb. 26 at Tri-C’s Corporate College® East in Warrensville Heights. The event is hosted by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.
Aside from Johnson, panelists will include Harlan Sands, president of Cleveland State University; and Barbara Snyder, president of Case Western Reserve University.
Federation Board Chair J. David Heller — also a member of Tri-C’s Board of Trustees — will moderate the conversation. The panel discussion is part of the 73rd annual meeting of the Federation’s Community Relations Committee (CRC) and Sidney Z. Vincent Memorial Lecture.
“Perhaps no time in our modern history has the need for civil discourse been greater,” said Gregg Levine, chair of the Federation’s CRC. “We are thrilled to bring together these highly respected leaders in education for a candid discussion about ways can bridge divides and build collaborative relationships by improving the level of discourse taking place on campuses across the country.”
The event begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the community. Space is limited, and reservations are encouraged. Click here to reserve your seat. Contact Debbie Klein at dklein@jcfcleve.org or 216-593-2834 for more information.
Corporate College East is located at 4400 Richmond Road in Warrensville Heights.
