Men’s Basketball Begins 2018 Atop NJCAA Division II Rankings
Challengers tip off new year Wednesday night at LCCC

The Cuyahoga Community College men’s basketball team begins 2018 in the same place it ended 2017: first in the nation.
The Challengers retained their first-place ranking in the latest NJCAA Division II coaches’ poll, released Tuesday. Tri-C garnered seven out of 10 first-place votes.
Head coach Michael Duncan’s squad will take their 15-0 record into a crosstown matchup with Lorain County Community College Wednesday night in Elyria, a 7:30 tipoff. The Challengers will return home Saturday afternoon for a 2 p.m. game against Hocking College.
In addition to Saturday’s contest, Tri-C plays two more home games in January – Jan. 17, 6:30 p.m. versus Lakeland Community College and Jan. 27, 2 p.m. versus Edison Community College.
All home games are played at the Tri-C Metropolitan Campus Recreation Center, located at the corner of E. 30 St. and Community College Ave. Admission is free.
