Manufacturing Assembly Focuses on the ‘Skills Gap’
Tri-C and Crain’s Cleveland Business partner on Nov. 13 workforce development event
There is no shortage of jobs in Northeast Ohio — only a shortage of people qualified to fill them, according to many employers.
Discussion on the “skills gap” dominates workforce development efforts across the region. Addressing the issue will be the focus of this year’s Crain’s Cleveland Business Manufacturing Assembly, which is being held in partnership with Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®).
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Tri-C’s Corporate College® East in Warrensville Heights. The day includes:
- Kent Displays CEO Albert Green as keynote speaker, sharing his experiences leading a local tech manufacturing company.
- A panel of regional manufacturers discussing how they’re addressing the skills gap. The session will include conversations on how those lessons can be applied at other businesses.
- An overview of industry trends from local leaders in the field.
Tickets are $75 and can be purchased online. The event includes a networking breakfast and lunch.
