10KSB Interim Director: Small Businesses Can Create Growth Opportunities
Patrice Blakemore speaks with Smart Business Cleveland about challenges and solutions for business growth
No business wants to remain stagnant. From Day One of a company’s life, its owners are thinking about ways to grow the business.
The trouble is, it’s difficult to live in both the present and the future. Many small-business owners get caught in the day-to-day operations of the business, unable to devote time and resources to growth planning.
Patrice Blakemore, the interim executive director for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program at Corporate College® East, recently spoke with Smart Business Cleveland about the challenges that stand between small businesses and successful growth planning, and potential solutions to those challenges.
“Companies should always have an eye toward innovation and growth opportunities and a plan to stay relevant to existing customers,” Blakemore told Smart Business. “It’s not uncommon for progress to slow down. But recognizing it and taking steps to address it are critical to a company’s continued success.”
