Lambda GSA (Gender-Sexuality Alliance/Gay-Straight Alliance) strives to educate others and ourselves on gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight ally issues & to work with other campus groups towards eliminating intolerance & prejudice. Our goal is to create an accepting environment in our school & community and to be a safe place where everyone can feel comfortable and supported. We encourage informal activities to foster healthy social interactions, bonding & understanding within our group & the greater community.
There have been many interpretations of the lambda symbol over time, and we agree with both the ancient Greek Spartans who believed the lambda meant unity and the Romans who considered it the light of knowledge shed into the darkness of ignorance.
