Areas visited by the individual were cleaned and sanitized repeatedly in the course of normal operations since the date of exposure.

Another individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Sunday, Dec. 19. The individual, who was asymptomatic, was last on-site Friday, Dec. 17, in ESS 1427. Areas visited by the individual were cleaned and sanitized upon reporting of the exposure and were cleaned and sanitized repeatedly in the course of normal operations since the date of exposure.

A third individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Tuesday, Dec. 21. An individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Friday, Dec. 3. The individual was last on-site Tuesday, Nov. 30, in MLA 211 and began experiencing symptoms after leaving campus that day. The individual was last on-site Wednesday, Dec. 1, in various campus, District and JSTC locations, as well as the MTC mailroom and dock, and began experiencing symptoms later that day. An individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Thursday, Dec. 2. The individual was last on-site Wednesday, Dec. 1, in G223B and began experiencing symptoms at an unknown time. Another individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Sunday, Dec. 5. The individual was last on-site Thursday, Dec. 2, in various locations including the Plant Ops break room and began experiencing symptoms Friday, Dec. 3. Another individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Wednesday, Dec. 1. The individual, who was asymptomatic, was last on-site earlier that day in MHCS 219. An individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Wednesday, Dec. 1. The individual, who was asymptomatic, was last on-site earlier that day in the auditorium, MTA 11C, Scenic Shop and the shop’s break room. An individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Wednesday, Dec. 1. The individual was last on-site Tuesday, Nov. 30, in MSHC 115 and began experiencing symptoms on Saturday, Nov. 25. Areas visited by the individual were cleaned and sanitized upon reporting of the exposure and were cleaned and sanitized repeatedly in the course of normal operations since the date of exposure.

WESTERN CAMPUS
An individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Monday, Nov. 29. The individual was last on-site Tuesday, Nov. 23, in WSTEM 105 and began experiencing symptoms Thursday, Nov. 25. Areas visited by the individual were cleaned and sanitized repeatedly in the course of normal operations since the date of exposure.

Another individual received a positive COVID-19 test result Tuesday, Nov. 30. The individual was last on-site Wednesday, Nov. 24, in C238 and AATC 35 and began experiencing symptoms after leaving campus that day. Areas visited by the individual were cleaned and sanitized repeatedly in the course of normal operations since the date of exposure.

Dec. 1, 2021 - Tri-C Statement on Omicron Coronavirus Variant

We are aware of the recent emergence of the Omicron coronavirus variant, and the concerns and questions you may have regarding it.

Though no cases have been detected in the United States, we are closely following reports from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, the National Institutes of Health and other key medical organizations. We will base any needed response or protocol changes on reports and recommendations from these organizations.

In the meantime, we must continue to be vigilant in following the existing guidelines, which include masking inside all College buildings, maintaining social distance, frequently washing hands and staying home if feeling unwell or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

Above all, we encourage everyone to get vaccinated, and if you are vaccinated, to get the booster. As of Nov. 19, all U.S. adults (18 and older) are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster. We urge you to do so as soon as you are able.
