Tri-C women’s cross country nationally ranked

Cuyahoga Community College’s women’s cross country team continues to gain national recognition in the early portion of the 2016 season.
In the Sept. 21 NJCAA Division I national coaches’ poll, the Cuyahoga Community College women’s cross country team ranked 13, one spot up from its No. 14 ranking in the initial poll of the season, released Sept. 14.
The Tri-C women’s team has finished at or near the top of every early-season meet. The team opened the season by winning the Daniel Walker Cross Country Invitational in western New York on Sept. 2, followed by a second-place finish at the Wittenberg Invitational in Springfield, Ohio and a fourth-place finish at the Penn State-Behrend Invitational in Erie, Pa.
The team’s next meet is today at the All-Ohio Invitational in Springfield. In October, Tri-C will travel to Florida for the Disney Cross Country Classic on Oct. 8, followed by an Oct. 14 meet against Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio.
