Daniel Levin, an associate professor of photography at Cuyahoga Community College, spent 3 1/2 days in May in Tel Aviv photographing luthier Amnon Weinstein. Weinstein is working on a project called "Violins of Hope." He restores violins that survived the Holocaust.

An exhibit of the photographs, "Amnon's Workshop," is on display through Nov. 8 at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, 25701 Science Park Drive, Beachwood. It's part of a larger "Violins of Hope Cleveland" project that will include a display of 50 of Weinstein's violins.
