Halloween Extravaganza is Oct. 31 at Tri-C Western Campus
October 28, 2015

Faculty, staff and students are invited to bring their children, grandchildren or neighbors’ children for indoor trick or treating at the Western Campus on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 1 to 3 p.m.
This is the second year the Faculty Senate Service and Collegiality Committee is hosting its Halloween Extravaganza for children ages 2 to 10. The afternoon will include fun educational activities, games, crafts and the return of the popular dance party with glow-in-the-dark bubbles. Of course, there will be lots of candy because there can be no trick or treating without the treats.
Children and adults are encouraged to wear costumes and participate in the various activities taking place in the Liberal Arts B Atrium. The cost of admission is nonperishable food items, which will be donated to the Student Food Bank.
English Department faculty Jennifer Skop and Lorrie DiGiampietro are organizing the event with faculty, staff and student volunteers. “When we ran this event last year for the first time, we had a big turnout. We’re hoping for a larger crowd this year,” Skop said.
Faculty Senate Service is asking faculty and staff to donate candy. Bags of candy can be dropped off through Oct. 30. Drop boxes are located in the Liberal Arts and Business offices.
To volunteer for the event, contact Skop at extension 5039 or jennifer.skop@tri-c.edu. To make sure enough candy and crafts are available, reservations via www.tri-c.edu/HalloweenExtravaganza are preferred but not required.
