Tri-C, CSU Leading Efforts to Education Foster-Care Youth

August 20, 2015

Cuyahoga Community CollegeA recent Cleveland.com editorial prasied efforts at Cuyahoga Community College to educate foster-care youth and prepare them for the workforce. The article also discussed similar efforts underway at Cleveland State University.

From the editorial:

No one can give former foster-care youth caring parents. But Cuyahoga Community
College, Cleveland State University, the Ohio legislature and philanthropists are
trying to find innovative ways to help college-bound and employed former foster
care youth avoid the pitfalls of life after foster care: lack of education, homelessness
      and crime.
