About Early Childhood Education at Tri-C
Early Childhood Education is an accredited Associate of Applied Science degree program. Students develop a strong understanding of child development from infancy through age five and learn to work effectively work with co-workers, families and the community.
Curriculum
The curriculum focuses on strategies for implementing and evaluating early childhood programs. Students engage in class discussions, interactive learning, laboratory activities and clinical experiences.
Students in the program must complete:
- 30 volunteer hours
- 330 hours of supervised practicum experience
Background Check and Medical Acknowledgement
Students must sign the form and email the completed document to tatiana.wells@tri-c.edu.
A background check will be required later in the program. Certain offenses identified by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services may prohibit enrollment in or completion of the program.
