The Vocal Arts Mastery Program is a free vocal training experience that includes solo and ensemble skills, music theory, sight-singing and introductory keyboard skills. Students gain foundational instruction and prepare a wide range of choral repertoire, culminating in a final performance at the end of the semester. No previous experience is necessary. Students are evaluated and placed in levels appropriate to their experience.

The Orchestra Program (TOP) classes are dynamic, intense and fun, teaching students how to play violin, viola, cello and double bass in an ensemble setting. With a mastery-based approach to music education that inspires a high standard of excellence, TOP helps students develop lifelong musical, social and leadership skills that position them for success. TOP serves musicians at all levels, from beginning to advanced, offering coordinated classes in orchestra rehearsals
and sectionals or group instrumental lessons. These programs do not require music reading skills. Students are evaluated and placed in levels appropriate to their experience. This program culminates into a final performance at the end of the semester.

This program is designed for wind, brass and percussion players entering junior high through high school. Students are evaluated and placed in levels appropriate to their experience. Participants develop advanced skills on their instruments with an emphasis on music theory, including an introduction to the keyboard, sight-reading, listening and instrument technique. Concert band repertoire will be prepared in sectionals and full-ensemble rehearsals, culminating in a band performance at the end of the semester.

Beginning and intermediate-level students can develop and master techniques on the main instruments of the percussion family, including the snare drum, bells, timpani, bass drum and cymbals. Students will learn hand drum techniques, how to read notes, and explore rhythms so they are equipped with the necessary skills to participate in band at school. At the end of the semester, students will perform as a percussion ensemble.

The Tri-C JazzFest Academy offers performance-based programs for students ages 8 to 18 at every stage of their musical development. We believe that access to the rich musical culture of jazz and improvisation creates a deep sense of creativity, discipline, teamwork, empathy, and empowers life-long curiosity and learning. The Academy’s students and ensembles have been featured at the Next Gen Stage at Playhouse Square, in New York City at Jazz at Lincoln Center and regularly perform throughout the Cleveland area. Students experience jazz through classes, seminars, rehearsals, master classes and clinics led by the academy faculty and guest presentations with some of the world’s most celebrated jazz artists.

From beginners to competition-ready virtuosos, our dynamic faculty, flexible schedule and exciting learning environment give our students the opportunity to examine in-depth all aspects of vocal, string, and piano playing. Student will also learn the basics of music theory. Instrumental instruction includes piano, violin, viola, cello, and bass.

Our curriculum includes lesson plans for students who are studying for pure enjoyment, as well as a more traditional "conservatory-like" program that prepares students with professional aspirations to prepare for college auditions or competitions.
