Competency Award in Facility Maintenance Technician
Program Description:
Students are trained to be responsible for operating and maintaining the entire infrastructure of commercial facilities, hospitals and manufacturing plants.
Audience:
Individuals interested in a career in maintenance with an emphasis on commercial wiring, HVAC, pressure boilers and pipefitting.

- Apply AC and DC electricity concepts
- Utilize piping systems and operate HVAC and boiler systems

Program Description:
This program prepares individuals for positions as a maintenance technician or maintenance supervisor for commercial and industrial building complexes. The program was developed in cooperation with the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Greater Cleveland.

Individuals interested in a career in building operations and maintenance.

Mechatronics
Mechatronics is an emerging technical discipline that merges mechanical and electronic training into a multi-skilled worker.
Typical positions for Mechatronics technicians include:
- Automated Equipment Installation
- Automated Equipment Installation - Start up
- Automated Equipment Installation - Operation and Maintenance.
Due to variety of skills required, the Mechatronics Technician must have the desire for a technical career with responsibility for expensive equipment used in a production environment.
The Mechatronics program consists of 11 courses totaling 28 credit hours of lecture and hands-on labs.
